Exhibitor Product News: New Contract Awarded for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Services for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Marine Design Center

Bristol Harbor Group Inc. (BHGI), Bristol, Rhode Island, and its sister company, The Shearer Group Inc. (TSGI), Houston, continue to grow and expand in the naval architecture, marine engineering, and marine surveying industry. BHGI specializes in commercial vessel design and consulting and has experience designing tugs, barges, articulated Tug/Barge (ATB) Units, passenger vessels, workboats, dredges, and floating drydocks. TSGI has a history of providing engineering services to the marine industry with a focus on the inland waterways and has experience designing inland workboats, ferries, towboats, dredges, marine construction equipment, dump scows, and tank barges.

Both BHGI and TSGI have recently been awarded Indefinite Delivery Contracts (IDC) for naval architecture and marine engineering services from the Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Marine Design Center. TSGI has also been awarded another five-year IDC with the Texas Department of Transportation.

Both companies have been growing at a steady rate and have welcomed over ten new additions in the past two years.
