In recent weeks, the U.S. Coast Guard has continued to monitor a Russian vessel, believed to be an intelligence gathering ship, off the coast of the Hawaiian Islands. A Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod crew successfully conducted a medevac of an 82-year-old male aboard the cruise ship Queen Mary II approximately 85 nautical miles southeast of Nantucket, Mass., in early January.
