Pacific Marine Expo, the West Coast’s largest and longest running commercial marine and fishing industry trade show, returns to Seattle in November. The Expo will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, through Friday, Nov. 10, at the Lumen Field Event Center.

“We are so thrilled to be heading back to Seattle this November with such an optimal Wednesday, Thursday, Friday schedule,” said Bob Callahan, group vice president, Diversified Communications, producers ofthe show. “After consultation with Expo attendees, exhibitors and advisory board members, we feel confident that the timing and returning to a Wednesday through Friday show will help make the 2023 Expo one for the books.”

The Expo serves all aspects of the Pacific commercial marine market, including:

·      Commercial Vessel Owners

·      Commercial Fishermen

·      Seafood Processors

·      Boatbuilders

·      Passenger Vessel Owners/Operators

·      Tug and other Workboat Operators

·      Charter Boat Owner/Operators

·      Marine Engineers and Naval Architects

·      Port and Military Officials

·      Marine Service Providers

“If you make your living on the water, you just can’t afford to miss the Expo,” Callahan said. “It’s the one place to check out the latest products, technologies and services, expand your knowledge base, and catch up with old and new friends.”

The Expo has been held in Seattle for more than 50 years.

Last year’s Expo attracted more than 5,000 industry leaders, who heard from over 30 industry speakers during the free Expo Education Program curated by National Fisherman, and explored a full exhibit floor filled with the latest equipment and services from top industry manufacturers and suppliers.

This year’s free Expo Education Program will cover topics such as marine safety, business management, regulatory issues, technology advancements and more. The education program is designed to provide current and essential updates to the industry, while offering an environment for open discussions and networking with other industry professionals.

Featured sessions will include:

·      Alaska fisheries: Separating fact from fiction.

·      Can you save money or create revenue by going green?

·      Money for fishing: Selling direct, grant applications and more.

In addition to the highly popular education program, the 2023 Expo also will feature the Alaska Hall, daily free happy hours, the King County Maritime Economic Forecast Breakfast, an Authors & Artists Corner, a special Fishermen’s Lounge, the National Fisherman Highliner Awards, performances by Fisher Poets, and the Fisherman of the Year contest on Nov. 10.

Once again, the Expo will collaborate closely with the Maritime High School and other regional youth training programs to offer tours of the show floor to help students explore the diversity of careers and businesses available to them in the maritime industry.

The 2023 Pacific Marine Expo will work closely with a new Expo advisory board comprised of some of the most respected and influential members of the commercial fishing and commercial marine industries to create the best possible experience for attendees and exhibitors.

“The PME advisory board brings together a mix of experts across all sectors who have a unique understanding of the critical issues facing the industry,” said Callahan. “Members are at the top of their respective fields, and they are ready to bring their connections and commitment to delivering the best conference and Expo the market has ever seen.”

Members of the Pacific Marine Expo advisory board include: Ashley Williams, Vice President of Marketing, Grundens; Bob Desautel, President and CEO, Global Seas; Bonnie Brady, Executive Director, Long Island Commercial Fishing Association; Bri Dwyer, Photographer and Writer, Bri Dwyer Images; Cory Armstrong, Owner, ACI Boats
