The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) issued a request for proposals (RFP) last week for qualified ferry operators, transit service providers, or other qualified firms to submit proposals to operate the public transit ferry system, NYC Ferry.
NYCEDC plans to select the operator based on the quality of the proposal plan, the quality of the minority and women-owned business enterprise plan, the financial qualifications and experience with transit service, and the proposed compensation to run the service.
NYCEDC will hold two optional information sessions and one optional site visit.
The first information session will be held on Sept. 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the NYCEDC offices at One Liberty Plaza, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10006.
The second information session will be held on Oct. 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Building 92 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, located at 63 Flushing Avenue at Carlton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205.
The site visit will be held at 1:00 p.m. on the same day as the second information session (October 19, 2022) at Pier C in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, also located at 63 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205. Attendees must sign a liability waiver and a non-disclosure agreement before attending the site visit.
Those who wish to attend an information session, or the site visit must RSVP by email to [email protected] no later than 48 hours in advance of the event.
Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC by emailing [email protected] no later than 5 p.m. Nov. 2, 2022. Answers to all questions submitted to the project email will be posted to the project’s web page on https://edc.nyc/rfps by Nov. 9, 2022. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, however, technical questions pertaining to downloading the RFP or submitting proposals to this RFP may be directed to [email protected] on or before Nov. 30, 2022.
