Stevens Towing Company, Meggett, S.C., has announced a series of leadership promotions across its operations. The family-owned company, founded in 1913 and now in its fourth generation, says the appointments are aimed at reinforcing the company’s ability to manage continued growth across its shipyard, logistics, and marine operations.
Bos Smith has been promoted to vice president. Smith has spent over 36 years with the company and has played a key role in maintaining long-standing customer relationships and supporting business development.
Ross Miller has been named vice president of sales and business development. A native of Beaufort, S.C., Miller has focused on securing new commercial opportunities and supporting the company’s expansion across its service lines.
Kurt Olsen has been promoted to vice president of shipyard operations. Olsen has worked with Stevens Towing for the past eight years. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the company’s shipyard performance and manage daily operations.
Capt. Ben Peterson joins the company as vice president of marine operations. Peterson brings over 30 years of experience operating vessels across U.S. coastal waters, the Great Lakes, and international routes. He will oversee the safety and performance of Stevens Towing’s floating assets.
